The strength of Shibaura Institute of Technology is collaboration with society cultivated through years of science and engineering education, and collaboration with Asia. As a place to seamlessly practice from basic research to social implementation in order to cope with "creation of green innovation", "improvement of QOL" and "realization of a super smart society" that Japan faces and issues of Asia's near future, "gERC Organize. For the following three projects that are leading and doing activities, we introduced research by poster exhibition format.


■TaylorMade Materials Engineering Research Center

We will establish an international research and development base (Shibaura type gERC) to realize the construction of basic technology for manufacturing manufacturing with low environmental impact, leading to the creation of green innovation. We will establish our own unique material creation technology tailored to social needs by organically linking the expertise of surface interface control, quantum beam processing, organization control, measurement control, and their respective expertise.


■QOL Improvement and Life Science Consortium

By multifaceted development of engineering methods accumulated by Shibaura Institute of Technology, it is possible to develop self-medication by mobile health care, drug discovery applying drug repositioning and sensitivity science, therapeutic drug monitoring by molecular imprint method, Promote the development of rehabilitation technology leading to prompt improvement, and build a comprehensive health care system.


■Robot / automobile co-evolution consortium

We developed a one-passenger mini EV that moves autonomously while communicating with the user from the inside of the building to the outside and town by adding sophistication and integration of the common element technologies of the robot and the automobile, adding a sensibility approach, We aim to realize the living support / vitality of elderly people and socially vulnerable people and the realization of safe and secure social life (empathy sympathy community).







At the Society for Free Radical Research Japan Kanto Branch meeting, Shibaura Institute of Technology activities were introduced.

2016.12.17

On December 17, 2016, at the Toyosu Campus, the Japan Oxidative Stress Association Kanto Branch meeting was held. Shibaura Institute of Technology introduced branding business promotion activities as a proposal for life science innovation toward a healthy longevity society at a symposium to be a main program. About 60 overseas researchers from each university and research institute gathered at the venue, and this consortium's kick-off of outgoing information dissemination was made.

●「The effect of carfraises training that is conscious of speed at home at home for elderly people」

Ryota Akagi(Bioscience and Engineering)

・Ability to demonstrate quick power, To reduce the risk of falls, even the elderly can verify the effect of the training method that can be done at home, mainly the effects of neuromuscular adaptation could be confirmed. From now on, I will work on brush up the strength training method.


●「Creation of novel vitamin K derivatives with neuronal differentiation inducing action」

Yoshitomo Suhara(Bioscience and Engineering)

・By modifying the structure of vitamin K, we developed a compound that is potent and has selective differentiation inducing activity to neurons. From now on we aim to clarify the mechanism of action.


●「Development of sensor for drug monitoring using molecular imprinted polymer」

Yasuo Yoshimi(Applied Chemistry)

・Therapeutic agent monitoring is important from the viewpoint of the development of medicinal effects or side effects and suppression of resistant bacteria, but it is expensive and time consuming now. Simple and economical quantification method of blood medicine was developed using molecular imprint polymer. We aim to apply as a sensor for treatment.


●「Development of walking training system based on neuro rehabilitation」

Shinichiro Yamamoto(Bioscience and Engineering)

・We developed a robot type gait training equipment (AirGant) that contributes to a new walking rehabilitation program for persons with spinal cord injuries.


These researches are from lifestyle diseases such as metabolic syndrome to serious diseases such as dementia and spinal cord injury
In the future, at this consortium, we will continue to disseminate external information through booth exhibits and seminars at "Medical Japan 2017 Osaka" on February 15th - 17th, and further advance the contents of each research and promote collaboration I will continue.
