Welcome to the SBMC(Shibaura Business Model Competition) home page.

The SBMC is the event to propose and test your new business model to solve social problems, and to provide more value who need it.
As this year we invite unique business model proposals to solve various problems and pain points relating to a big event such as Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games held in 2020.
Many sports players, guests, visitors are expected in Toyosu and other cities during the period.
Many traffic, safety and security concerns, as well as, many business opportunities are expected.
We invite your new business model proposal which can be applicable not only the period of the event, but after the event by utilizing the variety of technologies of Shibaura Institute of Technology and supporting companies listed on the website http://plus.shibaura-it.ac.jp/sbmc2018/

There are two categories to apply, one is Business Model Category to propose new business model and brief business plan, and the other is Idea Category, which is allowed for high school, undergraduate, and graduate school students, to propose new business model only. You can apply for only one category of those.

Preparation and lecture events are scheduled at each location below.

Entry to SBMC will be closed Nov.1, and the application is due Nov. 19th.
All the applications will be evaluated and noticed to applicants by Dec.1 ifyou are nominated for final challenge.
Final examination event is on Dec.
16th at SIT Shibaura Campus.
Nominated candidates are expected to make short presentation there.
